The stories of Secret Agent James Bond have been captivating audiences for many years.  Talk of Daniel Craig as James Bond has had both positive and negative reviews, and has left movie goers questioning who will replace Craig as the series progresses.

The James Bond franchise remains one of the longest running film series of all time, dating back to 1962, when the first of many films were produced.  The James Bond film series has run continuously run through 2010, with only a short, six-year hiatus between 1989 and 1995.

The James Bond film series has grossed more than $5 billion at the box office world wide, and continues to pull in big numbers each time a new film is released.  It is the second most successful film series in history. The fictional character of James Bond, secret agent, has been played by some of the top Hollywood stars, including Roger Moore, Sean Connery and the newest addition Daniel Craig.

While every Bond fan has their favorite, each actor usually gets a run at several films.  Since 2006 when he made his first appearance as James Bond in Casino Royale, to critical acclaim, Craig and was nominated for a BAFTA award.  He is the sixth actor to to portray the fictional 007 secret agent, and has lived up to the previous leading men who have portrayed Bond.  The real question is how long can he keep it going?

Online Sportsbooks are offering entertainment betting lines on who may be the next actor to replace Craig as the next James Bond. Some of the names on the list comes as no surprise, such as actor Will Smith, who has previously been portrayed as a secret FBI agent who learns that extra-terrestrials are living among humans. He has played a cop, a gangster, and a soldier and portrays the ambiance of the Bond character. His list of successful films goes on and on, making him a sure consideration for the role of Bond.

Funny man Jamie Foxx can also be found on the list of possibles to play the next James Bond. Although this role would seem to be a little out of genre, he certainly holds a lot of talent, and could work with any role he is given. The list of good actors goes on and on, and it will be a waiting game.  In the mean time, have a little fun with putting the cast of the next James Bond film together.
